Valley Drives

I drive through the valley from Chico to Live Oak and back four to five times per week, and during those drives is when I see some of the most beautiful sunsets. I think sunset to dusk is one of my most favorite times of the day both for its beauty and for the peace it brings. Here are a few photographs from recent drives.

Resolutions

I normally have quite a few resolutions for the new year. Last year I was able to accomplish both of the most important resolutions - 1) Run a 5k (completed on November 6, 2011) and 2) Learn to play guitar.

This year my resolutions include building relationships, learning to play bar chords on guitar, playing more piano, decreasing my 5k run time, and taking and posting weekly photographs.

The last of these resolutions is obviously the most relevant to this forum, however I am sure I will be posting about the other 4 quite often as well.

To begin this weekly journey I give you a photograph from the last day of the year and the first day of the year. As you will see, I think I had a thing for boots during the 24 hour period in which these were taken.
