I am so thankful that I have had the opportunity to travel this summer! This past weekend was spent with a great friend, visiting my wonderful cousins in Portland, OR. Portland can have the feel of a small town and a big city at the same time. They have a great Saturday Market right on the waterfront and as you venture into the hills, their is a huge park with hiking trails, the International Rose Test Garden, Japanese Gardens, a Zoo and more.
We packed a lot into our short 2 1/2 day stay and had a fantastic time! I visited Portland around the same time last year to go to the Cathedral Park Jazz Festival, and it just happened to fall on the same weekend this year, so we also spent a few hours there listening to some great Jazz, and I fell in love with the vocal stylings of the
Toni Lincoln Quartet . So much fun, and of course I got to spend more time with my new love, my Cannon camera...so, lots of great photos!
